Descriptions

Exterior

The Walker Ranch is an expansive property with its own gated entryway leading up to expansive grounds with its open parcels before the treelines dominate portions. The gravel road leads up between the barn next to the garage across from the farmlands and orchard. The home itself is a Lindal Cedar with its aged wood siding and central peaked roof. The shrubs and trees around carry some measure of care but have grown to an extent to seem more naturally placed.

The yard slopes away from one side of the building so that a lower level can be seen with its slanted windows to allow for light. The entrance leads into this lower level with a balcony from the second floor positioned over it. Distantly past the ranch home, one can see the other buildings, Walker Creek (named for the family) to the southwest, the kennels to the east, the small lake to the south.

Barn and Garage

One of the several structures first seen upon entrance to the grounds is rather large and likely has stood for a few decades. It’s well maintained with a new roof and repaired siding where needed. Windows dot the sides, dusty and dirty but allowing enough light within the interior. It's most definitely more of a shop that doubles as a garage when needed. Several bay doors are often open so work can carry on.

Off to one corner hanging from the ceiling is a heater so that work can carry on through the varying seasons. The ground is liberally dotted with oil and paint stains, some more recent than others in regards to their color. A couch sits off to the side, obviously the old one from the house as its covered in dog hair and the cushions hopelessly mashed in disjointed ways. A few chairs are pulled around an old wood wire reel that serves as a table.

Hired Hands' Housing

Tucked into the northeast of the property near the garage, it has its own copse of trees that make the trailers feel a bit more homey. There are several old seventies airstream trailers scattered about the woods and along the property line for security. Each has likely been there since the 70s with the way the trailers are really settled in to the wilderness and fields around them.

On the inside of each of the trailers however there has been some nice upgrades. The floors have been replaced hardwood probably a decade prior due to all the apparent wear and tear in the sign of scuff marks from boots. The front of the trailer holds a loft bed that can be lowered over the eating area. The rounded bench seat with its vibrant seventies colors has NOT been changed can also be converted into a bed. The small galley kitchen separates the small bathroom and its shower with the accordion door from the back bed that takes up the rear of the trailer. Its clean enough, smells of the earth and lysol.

Native American Indian Dog (Elk Hound) Kennels

Set up a bit like a horse's stable; nearly attached to the house is the kennels that have a fenced in open area that is quite large and encompasses the east side of large enclosed barn-like building. The expansive allows large areas of play for the dogs and the pups without fear of them becoming restless or taking off before becoming acclimated to a companion lifestyle.

The interior is strewn with straw with several drains inside for quicker cleaning. Carious separated kennels line one wall and each is gifted with several dog beds and toys along with a food and water trough that is easily filled from the outside as they are attached to the chain link. Vents up near the top of the wall allow for clean air flow and two large windows at either end let in daylight through the electricity runs to the building in overhead lights.

There is a small area with chairs and more toys that have a half door that allows for visitations.

Elk Pastures

Here is where the true breadth of Walker Ranch can be felt in the far-reaching parcels set aside for the elk. Here where everything is allowed to grow wild and free, balsam trees dominate along with purple and yellow field flowers in the warmer months. The obvious vehicle tracks do little to detract from the natural beauty of the vista where a mild wind sets the grass and flowers to move like an earthbound sea.

Interior of Ranch House

Describe the main room of the location.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has enough space for a king sized bed with pretty good size walkway of a thick brown wall to wall carpet. A walk-in closet is separated from the main area by accordion style doors. If a smaller sized bed or much smaller multiple beds were in place, there would be plenty of space for a dresser, vanity, entertainment center, those sort of things along the whitewashed walls. On the opposite side of the room from the walk-in closet is an en-suite full bathroom.

Large Bedroom

The large bedroom has enough space for a queen sized bed with pretty good size walkway of a Berber beige wall to wall carpet. A walk-in closet is separated from the main area by accordion style doors. If a smaller sized bed or much smaller multiple beds were in place, there would be plenty of space for a dresser, vanity, entertainment center, those sort of things along the whitewashed walls.

Small Bedroom

The small bedroom has enough space for a full-sized bed with pretty good size walkway of a Berber beige wall to wall carpet. There is no closet in this room, but if a smaller sized bed or much smaller multiple beds were in place, there would be plenty of space for a dresser, vanity, entertainment center, those sort of things along the whitewashed walls.

Guest Bedroom

The small bedroom has enough space for a full-sized bed with pretty good size walkway of a Berber beige wall to wall carpet. There is no closet in this room, but if a smaller sized bed or much smaller multiple beds were in place, there would be plenty of space for a dresser, vanity, entertainment center, those sort of things along the whitewashed walls.

Office

The large office has enough space for an executive's desk with pretty good size walkway of a Berber beige wall to wall carpet. Plenty of space surrounding the desk for shelves, filing cabinets, storage nooks, entertainment center, those sort of things along the whitewashed walls.

Po-Panda.jpg
Po-Panda: The product of a stray rottweiler getting into Tillamook's kennel when she was in heat. Personality wise the Rott didn't get along well with the pack and Tilly didn't like him either. So Cameron took him to the shelter and is happy he was re-homed and is happy with his new family. Po is a neutered male and Cameron and Tilly love him so he keeps Calvin company in the house as a pet.
Shasta.jpg
Shasta: Female. One of the older generation breeder girls. She is getting old enough that she is going to probably be retired soon may two litters more at most.
Tillamook.jpg
Tillamook aka Tilly: All of the dogs are champions, but Tilly is probably the most prized of all the females.
