Descriptions

Exterior

On a large lot, a double storey wood and brick building is far enough from the street that it leaves a ton of space for the driveway. The wood has been painted white, allowing it to stand out against the red brick. Two massive garages are attached to the side of the main building. Large rolling white metal garage doors keep the yellow and white emergency vehicles inside protected from the elements. A large sign on the front of the building reads "Mythic Wood Fire Department". Next to the large sign is a half-circle colorful pie chart and white arrow indicator, detailing the fire danger the area is currently experiencing.

Interior

The entryway and lobby is a greeting area filled with informational pamphlets and other forms the public would need. Behind a small clerk's station across the room from the front door is a large heavy oak door with a magnetic card reader next to it. The department's insignia is a vinyl decal on the oak with, "Fire Crew Only" spelled out at eye level. Within the employees only area downstairs there is a conference and briefing room, a few offices for the ranking officers and a double doorway that goes directly into the garage. Set into a nook by the exit to the garage is a brass spiral stairwell it's large enough with an open space for a brass fire pole. More regular stairways are also found around the building. There is even one that some good humored fireman installed a sturdy red plastic tube slide like those found on playgrounds.

The stairs with the slide are the main stairway that leads up to a common room filled with comfortable chairs and a large television. There is also a fully-stocked kitchen, all new appliances and a huge table surrounded by over a dozen rolling office chairs. Two doors that lead to separate bunk rooms have plaques used for bathrooms. Indicating the woman's bunk, bathroom and lockers are in the south of the building and the men's on the north side with the kitchen and common TV space in between.

Firemen's Bunk

The difference between the Fireman's Bunk and the Firewoman's Bunk is the plaque on the entry door. Brick walls are lined with 8 well spaced out bunk beds. Armoire and dressers are built into each wooden bunk with plenty of storage for both inhabitants. Two of the bunks have desk are for the under area instead of the bed. Seniority determines who gets these more private beds. Brick gives way to cinder blocks and steel as there are a small locker room and benches between bunk area and bathroom and showers.
