Descriptions

Exterior

Set in the middle of a medium-sized property is a one and a half story residence. With off-white horizontal weatherboarding siding and light brown accents at the corners and molding that frames the double hung paned windows with a half circle of paned glass above them. The front entrance is a slate purple wooden door with a half circle of paned glass just above eye-level. The door is set a few feet deep into a stoop with a small covered porch to one side of the entrance at the end of a red brick pathway that goes through the thick green grass from the stoop step to the white picket fence along the sidewalk. The gray tar shingle roof is in excellent condition. The large yard has at least one alder tree on the property close to the road as is town tradition. The front yard is fenced in by a bright white picket fence that is a few feet high. On the side of the house is a few steps that lead up to a deck that wraps around the back of the house. The backyard is a bit wilder than the front as there's a steep hill under the sturdy back deck. Along the street, lamps that are hung with baskets of flowers and seasonal banners that all have Mythic Wood and Alder Street on them illuminating the area quite well after dusk.

Interior

An empty residence. Bare and glossy dark hardwood floors and warm sandy painted walls with double hung paned windows with a half circle of paned glass above them have been renewed and cleaned as much as possible. The stringent scent of cleaning products and fresh paint is strong and ever lingering. This home is comprised of several rooms. An entry area inside the front door has space for racks and storage for outside wear and poor weather accessories or just a place to put some surface for keys and mail. A wooden stairway leads up to the converted attic second floor of the home. Like in every home there is a living room area with enough space for a sitting area and a center for a TV and other entertainment devices. A brown tiled dais in the corner of the living room slightly elevates an electrical pellet fireplace.

Sharing the common living area of the residence is a formal dining room area. Attached to the dining area through an archway is a good-sized kitchen. Including the usual appliances such as a stove and oven, double sink, dishwasher, garbage compactor, and a refrigerator. Between these appliances along the beigey-mauve painted walls is white painted wood cabinetry with silver metal handles and brown granite counters. The bathroom for guests and residents alike adjoining the main living area is a full bathroom with dark wood paneling halfway up soft yellow painted walls and slate and grout floors. A typical white porcelain toilet, a small stall shower is tucked away in a corner while an old-fashioned claw foot tub takes up most of one wall and finally a white porcelain pedestal sink also has a faucet that looks to be original to when the house was built in 1890. Generally, this is the sort of home a comfortable person or family could afford to live in.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has enough space for a king sized bed with pretty good size walkway of a thick brown wall to wall carpet. A walk-in closet is separated from the main area by accordion style doors. If a smaller sized bed or much smaller multiple beds were in place, there would be plenty of space for a dresser, vanity, entertainment center, those sort of things along the whitewashed walls.

On the opposite side of the room from the walk-in closet is a bathroom about the same size. It is what is considered a half bathroom as it's only a pedestal sink and a toilet.

Large Bedroom

The large bedroom has enough space for a queen sized bed with pretty good size walkway of a Berber beige wall to wall carpet. A walk-in closet is separated from the main area by accordion style doors. If a smaller sized bed or much smaller multiple beds were in place, there would be plenty of space for a dresser, vanity, entertainment center, those sort of things along the whitewashed walls.

Small Bedroom

The small bedroom has enough space for a full-sized bed with pretty good size walkway of a Berber beige wall to wall carpet. There is no closet in this room, but if a smaller sized bed or much smaller multiple beds were in place, there would be plenty of space for a dresser, vanity, entertainment center, those sort of things along the whitewashed walls.
